JOE: Radio-DJ voor één uur

Twenty years after his last radio shift, Frank steps back behind the microphone for one afternoon. The occasion is International Brother/Sister Day, and the invitation comes from someone who knows the studio inside out. His sister Nathalie, a professional radio maker, hands him a co-host spot on national station Joe for a full hour.

What we talked about

  • The Brother/Sister Day concept behind the broadcast
  • A news overview with a West Flemish twist
  • A pitch for CoderDojo and kids learning to code
  • Self-driving cars, with guest Peter Hinssen
  • Whether kids born around 2010 still need a driver’s license
  • A quiz segment with a baker from Bellegem
  • Memories of early free-radio days at Radio Zelfstandig Harelbeke and Tien Om Te Zien

The show is in Dutch and mixes classic free-radio energy with a family reunion on air. Frank plays guest more than host, and Nathalie keeps the hour on the rails.
